The motel's immaculate rooms provided a warm retreat, complemented by the friendly hosts, Warren and Lesley, who were incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable about local activities, including nearby ski slopes and the enchanting Rakaia Gorge. What truly stood out during my stay was the accessibility to diverse experiences, from the serene walking tracks leading through the captivating landscapes to the vibrant local markets just a stroll away. I particularly enjoyed unwinding in the spacious lounge area, where the roaring wood burner provided a cozy backdrop as we shared stories of our day's adventures. With laundry facilities on-site and a wide range of outdoor activities available, Methven Motel serves as an ideal base for not just winter sports enthusiasts but also those seeking year-round relaxation amidst the stunning allure of the Southern Alps. My heart is full, and I can't wait to return for another adventure with friends in this beautifully preserved slice of New Zealand!
